The next step involves a direct discussion to validate or complete the information, followed by the submission of a written work plan and formal quote.

If project involves biological material in the client’s possession, Cytochem will provide specific protocols for freezing tissues or whole animals and for shipment.

Cost is determined on gene-by-gene basis, depending the abundance of expression, the number of expression sites and cell types.

Total study cost is calculated on the number of photomicrographs included in the report. Each photomicrograph with legend costs 80 USD.

By experience, a typical study contains between 70 to over 100 photomicrographs, but the number can also be less, depending on the specific objectives.

This provides great flexibility since the client decides on the depth of analysis, which can stay focused on specific areas or be as broad as needed. After discussion with the client, Cytochem submits a detailed work plan and quote for approval.

A written report with a summary description (100 words) of the results (but no-microanalysis), materials and methods, and up to 2 ready-to-publish figures with legends (up to 6 photomicrographs).
